She was predeceased by: her parents, Swedish and Helen Sofia Anderson (Johnson). She is survived by: her husband Louis Henry "Hank" Mense; her children, Michael (Bonny) of Snohomish, Jeff (Susan) of Myrtle Beach and Lesa Carlisle (Gene) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her grandchildren, Morgan, Lauren, Emily, Drew, SaraJane, Helen and Hunter. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Louis Henry Mense Emerging Leader ROTC Endowed Scholarship at Coastal Carolina University.
