He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward DuBose Smith and Daphene Shell Smith; and his brother James Arthur Smith. He is survived by: his wife Donna Morgan Smith; his children, Alison Elizabeth Speight and Ashley Morgan Smith; and his grandson Preston Morgan Speight. He is also survived by sister in law, brother in law, a nephew and niece.
