He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelyn Halley (McDonald) and John Maxim Halley; his brother Donald Stewart; and his son Brian. He is survived by: his wife Beth Cadieux; his sister Lydia (Harold Cole); his stepdaughter Ashleigh (Zach Curtis); his stepgrandchildren, Riley and Kayla; his stepdaughter Chris (Richard Broderick); his niece Erin (Owen McBride); his great-nephews, Henry and Hudson; his nephew John Cole (Katherine); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lily, Fisher and Ellis.
