He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan D. Owens and Mildred L. Duel Owens; his sisters, Shirley Rozell and Betty Bishop; and his former wife Elizabeth Kaplenk Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Silverman Owens; his daughters, Marissa Bongo (Jared) of Ballston Spa, NY and Alexandra Owens of Elmhurst, NY; his grandson Cameron Bongo; and his sister Carolyn Marshall. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
