He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Brenda; his parents, John Albert Stout, Sr. and Edith Ruth Stout; his daughters, Hannah Pabst (Rudy) of Loris and Sarah Harshbarger (John) of Granite City, Illinois; his granddaughters, Marley and Delilah Stout of Myrtle Beach; his children, Rylee, Hazel Pabst of Loris, Allison Lund (William) and Brianna Cuvar of Granite City, Illinois; his grandson Bryce Cuvar of Granite City, Illinois; his nephew D. J. Stout of Buckhannon; and his siblings, Doug Stout (Brenda) of Buckhannon and Pamela Wood of Grafton. He was also cherished by many other family members and friends.
