He was predeceased by: his parent Ira; his wife Mary Ann Moxley (Pyles); and his sisters, Lucille Wells, Dorothy Hesselrode and Betty Hesselrode.

He is survived by: his children, LuAnn Barton (Jim) of Little Rock, AR and Mike Moxley (Shari) of Mountainburg, AR; his grandchildren, Coleman Moxley, Hannah Williams (John Paul), Luke Moxley, Mitchell Moxley, Katelyn Sherrill (Dylan), Audra Hensley (Sean) and Michelle Barton; and his great grandchildren, Della Williams, Kolly Sherrill and Zora Hensley.

“My heart goes out and my prayers go up for the Moxley Family and loved ones of Bro. Moxley. I grew up in Myrtle Beach and was baptized at Myrtle Beach Church of Christ. I did not know him very well, but when I was a child, I recall hearing his name mentioned often and shaking his hand on Sundays and Wednesday nights after service. The most indelible thing I recall about Bro. Moxley is his integrity. He was willing to do God's will above his own interests. I've always respected him for that.”
