As Jeri departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jeri. Though Jeri may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Malcom Collins and Sadie Ball Collins; and her husband John G. "Jack" Markham, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Monica Lyn Padgett Burnley (Dave) and James Ronald "Rocky" Padgett (Julie); her brother-in-law Jim Markham (Lyn); and her friend Sherry Clay (Bill). She is also survived by nieces/nephews and dear cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
