She was predeceased by: her spouse Reverend Thomas Rhame Nelson; her parents, James L. Godwin and Alice McAlister Godwin; and her siblings, Linder Godwin, Agnes Godwin, Leone Patrick, Ruby Lee Bullard, Uneda Lee, Nell Morris, Bernice G. McCutcheon, H. E. Godwin, Paul Godwin and Bill Godwin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce (Tommy Jordan) of Myrtle Beach and Jayne (Steven Metz) of Carlisle, PA; her granddaughters, Sarah Jordan of Nashville, TN, Mary Alice Jordan of Myrtle Beach, Rachel Rodgers of Mechanicsburg, PA and Stephanie (Sairam Babu) of Queens, NY; and her great grandchildren, Peyton, Lucas Rodgers, Micah and Noah Babu. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
