It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gurdon C. Pitcher of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby; and his daughter Darlene Pitcher. He is survived by: his father Albert Sr.; his siblings, Albert "Skip" Pitcher, Frank Haus, Paul Haus and Arlene Kurtz; his wife Carrol Pitcher of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his children, Roger Pitcher of Candor, NY, Sherry Parker (Chris) of Cato, NY, Tammy Thomas (Russell Hartke) of Horseheads, NY and Lewis Pipher of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his grandchildren, Justin Siegard (Rebecca), Josh Siegard, Andrea Alpert (Jerry Wright), Arika McCollough (Scott), Mick Thomas and Makayla Pitcher; and his great grandchildren, Kash, Kolby, Acee, Asiah, Riplee, Mason and Elsie. He is also survived by several other brothers and sisters; Gurdon was one of 15 children and many nieces and nephews.
