She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Arthur Brown and Alice Alford Brown; her husband Harold Dayton Capps; and her siblings, Dotherine Tate, Lois Permenter, Jean Harrelson and Arthur Lavern Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, Stephen D. Capps of Myrtle Beach, SC and Robert Julian "Dewey" Capps of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Jason Neil Capps of Beaufort, SC, Robert Derrick Capps of Charlotte, NC, Mia Michelle Capps of Virginia Beach, VA and Kristi Capps McCarty of Myrtle Beach, SC; her great grandchild Halston Dayton Capps of Beaufort, SC; and her siblings, Ruby Pittman of Mullins, SC and Don L. Brown of Mullins, SC.
Mrs. Capps' family requests memorials be made in her honor to the Federation Center of the Blind, 1198 Kilbourne Rd., Columbia, SC 29205 and/or to the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach, 500 4th.
