She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Helen Elizabeth Earseman and Harvey Jay Shoemaker; her husband Doniphan Carter; her sister Alice Ruth Shoemaker Kintner; her daughter Josie (John Grabowski); her son-in-law John Grabowski; and her daughters, Beth (Don Harmon), Kate Stephens of Myrtle Beach, SC, Meg (Robbie Crompton) and Ginny (Bobby Lewis). She was also cherished by five daughters, their husbands, and the grandchildren.
