He was predeceased by: his parents, Hossein Motaghedi and Aghdas Almoluk Malaki; his siblings, Allahyar Motaghedi, Shireen Zahirnia, Nasrin Zahirnia and Shahin Zahirnia; and his father-in-law David F. Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his pets, Maximus and Ginger; his siblings, Azarmidokht Motaghedi, Maryam Motaghedi, Mitra Zahirnia, Khashyar and Khodyar Motaghedi; his mother-in-law Nancy Smith; and his brother-in-law Freddie Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
