He was predeceased by: his parents, William Green Allen and Ruth Blalock Allen; his former wife Carol Rose Allen; his siblings, W. C. Allen and Dorothy Gibson; and his stepmother Dean Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Allen of Myrtle Beach, SC; his children, Brian Allen (Melinda) of Norwood, NC and Sherri Allen (Tina) of Concord, NC; his siblings-in-law, Judy Allen and Bruce Gibson; his grandchildren, Drew Allen, Weston Allen, Landon Allen, Jackson Yandle and Emma Yandle; and his close friends, Jim and Karen Huntley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
