It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dimitra Bakogianni of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her sons, Col. Panos Christian Bakogiannis (Heather) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Daniel Emannuel Bakogiannis (Janelle) of Bennettsville; her sisters, Maria, Georgia of Greece and Helen of Asheville; and her grandchildren, Ethan Dimitri Bakogiannis, Hayden William Bakogiannis, James Herbert Bakogiannis, David Christian Bakogiannis and Margot Dimitra Bakogiannis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
