She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Mitchell Martin Jr. and Doris May Bruorton; her husband Kent L. Hamilton; and her close friend Joyce Edmondson. She is survived by: her son Jason Robert Hamilton of Myrtle Beach; her brother Frederick Mitchell Martin III of Virginia Beach; her adoptive son Perry Haynes (Laska) of Naples; and her nephew Fredrick Mitchell Martin IV of Colonial Heights.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Baptist Church (500 4th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach (500 4th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577).
