He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert W. Mahaffey and Marcelle B. Mahaffey; and his sister Mary Beth Mahaffey. He is survived by: his children, Brian Mahaffey (Nicole) of Myrtle Beach, Colonel Christopher (Tanya) and Heidi Wyels of Myrtle Beach; and his brother Jonathan Mahaffey (Michelle). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
