It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Allen Gaab in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jan and Christopher Manley; his sister-in-law Carol Strott (late Jack); his parents-in-law, Edward and Doris Thiemann; and his parents, William Gaab and Arlene Gaab (Ohlrich).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Gaab (Thiemann); his children, Jessica Bole (late Patrick), Adam Gaab (Sara), Justin Gaab, Grampi of Makenzie Bole, Ryan Gaab, Brayden Gaab and Peyton Gaab; his siblings, Richard Gaab (Sue Ellen), Tim Gaab (Debbie) and Karen DeBause (Toby); and his brother-in-law Dennis Thiemann (Amber). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Dave's name to Waterdam Church (https://waterdam.org) or Thomas Presbyterian Church (https://thomaspres.org).

“Kathy, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Daves passing. He was a true friend when we worked together at Novartis. You may recall we were both put into a territory we were no thrilled about and the one bright spot was having him as a teammate. He was truly wonderful. I do remember the 2 of you crashing a wedding receiving at the Greenbrier. Still a story I repeat o this day. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for you and your family You are in our prayers .
