He is survived by: his daughters, Karon Byrd Scarborough (Dean) of Hartsville, S. C. and Karla Byrd Beard (Walt) of Sumter, S. C.; and his grandchildren, Ashley Scarborough Previtte (Sam) of Concord, N. C., Amanda Scarborough of Charleston, S. C., Kassidy Beard and Drew Beard of Sumter, S. C..
