It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Elaine Lerner (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Sy Lerner of Pittsburgh; her parents, Philip Naumoff and Esther Naumoff of Charlotte; her sister Susan Naumoff of Durham, NC; and her nephew Caleb Southern of Durham.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Jageman (Bryan) of Fairview, PA and Alan Lerner (Marty) of Arlington, VA; her grandchildren, Hunter Jageman (Amy) of Pittsburgh, Garrett Jageman of Pittsburgh, Emma Jageman of Pittsburgh, Alexa Lerner of Arlington and Nolan Lerner of Arlington; her siblings, Lawrence Naumoff of Carrboro, NC, Elizabeth McCarthy (Robert) of Sarasota, FL and Debbie Flynn of Charlotte; and her brother-in-law Charles Flynn of Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by seven loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McMillan-Small Funeral Home (910 67th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hebrew Cemetery of Greater Charlotte (1801 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206).
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in Carolyn Lerner's name to Temple Emanu-El of Myrtle Beach.
