He is survived by: his wife Edna; his children, Teresa Blackmon-Welch of Myrtle Beach, SC, Bill Blackmon and Richard Blackmon of Myrtle Beach, SC; his siblings, Grace Blackmon of Supply, NC and Wayne Blackmon (Sylvia) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his grandchildren, Shane, Thadius Blackmon, D. J. Welch and Case Garris.
