She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick J. Kahl; and her mother Anna Borowski. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher (Margaret) and Craig (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Stephen, Jonathan, Caroline and Alexander.

Contributions in her memory can be made to the American Heart Association or the Kitty Claws Rescue Group SC.
