He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Johnson and Louise Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Jeff (Mary) and Jennifer (John); his grandchildren, Cole, Jillian and Genevieve; and his stepchildren, Kathryn and David (Anna).
