He is survived by: his wife Nancy Fewell Carter (Nan) of Murrells Inlet; his children, Wayne G. Carter Jr. (Bart Montgomery) of Lancaster, Scott T. Carter (Betsy Bailey Carter) of Heath Springs and Sterlyn Campbell of Fort Mill; his grandchildren, Caige Carter (Emily), Talen Carter (Ainsley) and Trey Campbell; and his brother Richard L. Carter (Kelsie) of Lancaster.
