We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2023, at the age of 82, Walter Brewer Heggie Jr. (Murrells Inlet, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Heggie Heggie and Mary Elizabeth Jones Heggie; his wife Karen Ann Heggie; and his sister Carol Ann Stallings of Tyrone. He was also cherished by niece, a nephew, and his seven godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Colonel Heggie's wish was for donations or remembrances to be directed to Tunnel to Towers, Georgetown County Low Country Food Bank, the USO, or Samaritan's Purse.
