With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna (Bonnie) Steadman Sherwood (Murrells Inlet, South Carolina), born in Moulton, Alabama, who passed away on December 4, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Steadman and Gladys Dawson Steadman; and her daughter Donna Horak. She is survived by: her husband David Sherwood; her children, Ronald Horak (Kippy) of Shawnee Land, VA and Judy Malatras (Steve) of Murrells Inlet, SC; her stepchildren, Leslie Jones (Chris) of Dayton and Paul Sherwood (Beth) of Columbus, Ohio; her granddaughters, Heather and Cheryl; and her stepgrandchildren, Tara, Erin, Kate, Matthew, Kaitlin, Emily and Lily. She is also survived by two nieces and one nephew in Michigan and many great-grandchildren.
