Thomas Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Young of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, born in Shelter Island, New York, who passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Tuthill Young, Sr. and Marguerite Griffing Young; his wife Joan Young; and his son-in-law Paul Melcer. He is survived by: his children, Trish Avona (Bob McCallister) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Missie Melcer of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Thomas J. Young (Sue Klenawicus) of Shelter Island, NY and William F. Young of Camden, NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
