With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Nelson Brown of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Michael Brown; his grandson Rodricus Pyatt; his stepchildren, Bernard Moses and Natasha Richardson; his siblings, Odessa Greene, Erma Porter, Wendell, Stafford and Thomas Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Goins, Wali Belair, Wesley Moses and Dorothy Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca M. Brown of Murrells Inlet, SC.; his children, Rickey N. Brown (Wanda) of Summerville, SC, Rudolph O. Brown (Latisha), Regina Johnson (Sherridan) of Columbia, SC and Stephanie Sutton (Anthony) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his granddaughter Hannah N. Richardson; his sisters, Margie Spivey of Myrtle Beach, SC and Victoria Small of Little River, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Nesbitt (Benjamin) of Hollywood, SC, Mary Gibson, Francis Mallory of Jamaica, NY, Johnny Moses (Almenia) of Darlington, SC, Jerry Moses of Brooklyn, NY and James B. Moses (Lillie Mae) of Hartsville, SC. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
