It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Cabaniss of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, born in Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on June 6, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Clarence Cabaniss and Eleanor "Betty" Cabaniss; and his son Thomas Richard Cabaniss. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Kitty" Giblin Cabaniss; his children, John Michael Cabaniss (Cathy) of Moncks Corner, SC and Meghan Cabaniss (Rebecca Shaheen) of Seaside, CA; his siblings, Steve Cabaniss (Judy Stone), Kenny Cabaniss (Lori) and Sandra Thomason; and his granddaughter Carlin Rose Cabaniss. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to All 4 Paws, 708 Petigru Dr, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.
