He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son James Schnell; his grandchildren, Jessica (David), Jennifer (Chris), Jason (Isabel) and Juliee; his siblings, Jerome Schnell, Dorothy Gerson, Elizabeth Herbert, Jeannine Hoffbeck (Craig) and Josephine Becker; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Schnell; his sister-in-law Jeanne Viera; his stepchildren, Master, Michael Diuguid, Marine Corps, Deacon Nathaniel Diuguid (Fannie), Beatrice Bynum (Billy) of Lynchburg, VA and Brianna; and his wife Eula Diuguid Schnell of Murrells Inlet. He was also cherished by extended family, many loving nieces & nephews; and supportive friends.

At the request of the family, memorial contributions in Ray's name may respectfully be made in lieu of flowers to St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry or to St. Michael's Conference, both at, 572 Cypress Ave. Garden City, SC 29576 Online condolences may be expressed at http://www.burroughsfh.com.
