It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Vereen of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, born in Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on April 10, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. "Happy" Vereen and Mary Margaret "Mullet" McLauchlin Vereen; his daughter Rosa Parker Vereen; and his sister Anne Sylvia Vereen. He is survived by: his daughter Lauren B. Vereen; his brother Johnnie L. Vereen, Jr. (Laurie); his friend Hank Thomas; his grandchildren, Phoenix Thompkins, Asa, Cadence Blake and Nate Shelly; and his great grandchildren, Remi and Ezra Singleton. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
