He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Johnny D. Tharpe of Murrells Inlet, Timothy N. Tharpe (Joni) of Murrells Inlet, Ronda L. Neyra (Gabe) of Murrells Inlet and Jean Scott (Jeff) of Alabama; his grandchildren, Craig Lett (April), Crystal Lett, Emily Tharpe (Jordan), Ashley Tharpe, Chancey Neyra, Ty Dawkins and Abby Dawkins; and his great grandchildren, Ariel (Nathaniel), Hunter, Christian, Landry, Jamison, Berkley, Maddox, Aspen and Lane.
