He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Carlisle and Velma Sorenson Thompson; his brother Jim Thompson; his wife Denise Yarborough Thompson of Garden City, SC; his children, Brandon Thompson (Natalie) of Pawleys Island, SC, David Thompson of Mooresville, NC and Alice Thompson Smiley of Fairbanks, Alaska; his grandchildren, Ariel Peterson, Angel Millington, Meris Thompson, Reese Thompson and Aria Thompson; his brother Robert "Bobby" (Susan) of Mooresville, NC; and his sister-in-law Anne Thompson of Dunn, NC. He was also cherished by four great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576).
