With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kristine M. Costa (Rutland, Vermont), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Kristine left this world on April 11, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Carroll and Elizabeth Carroll (Stewart); and her former husband James Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Ostrander; her daughter Chrystal Arnold (Gary) of Rutland, VT; her grandson Samuel Arnold; her stepchildren, Chris Ostrander, Keri Ostrander and Traci Fryant; and her close friends, Jim and Darlene Hetzel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Aldous Funeral Home (44 N Main St, Rutland, VT 05701). A prayer will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Kris was also a strong advocate for organ donation and often encouraged others to consider giving this life-changing gift. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children (https://www.shrinerschildrens.org), an organization close to Kris's heart, inspired by her father's dedication as a Shriner.
