With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Ann LaPenna of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Karen's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Karen has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lucke and Catherine Lucke. She is survived by: her husband Paul LaPenna of Murrells Inlet, SC; her daughter Michelle LaPenna of Murrells Inlet, SC; and her grandson Jake Szelwach.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A reception was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
