We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 86, Joseph Edward Wroe of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Wroe, Sr. and Ruth Schwanker Wroe; and his siblings, Gloria Pierce, Henry and John Wroe.
He is survived by: his wife Janice M. Wroe of Murrells Inlet, SC; his children, Michael Wroe of Watertown, MA, David Wroe of Norwood, MA, Donna Parks (Michael) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jennifer Riley of Murrells Inlet, SC; his brother Harold Wroe (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Duncan, Nathan, Tanner, Declan and Derrik.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A reception will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Joseph's name to the Dementia Society of America, https://www.dementiasociety.org.
