He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Warner Norris; his former wife Doris N. Atkinson; and his son John F. Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Truluck Atkinson of Myrtle Beach; his daughters, Patricia Costantini (Thomas) of Baltimore, MD and Linda Atkinson (Dave Gifford); his grandchildren, Matt Costantini, Kevin Costantini (Talia Sauer), Brian Atkinson and Olivia Fowler; his great grandchildren, Julian Hoehn and Owen Costantini; and also Theresa Atkinson.
