She was predeceased by: her husband Fredrick Thrower; her parents, Lorenzo Thompson and Annie Thompson; and her siblings, Willard Thompson, Junior Thompson, Gloria Adams and Lois Dellinger.
She is survived by: her children, Laura (Gina), Barnes (Jefferson) and Willard (Gene) Shoemaker (Bobbie); her stepsons, Brian Thrower (Monica) and Scott Thrower (Sharon); and her grandchildren, Jason Helms, Joseph Helms, Michael Johnson (Jessica), Tyler Barnes, Hannah Shoemaker and Miranda Shoemaker. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
