He is survived by: his wife Thelma Reid Simmons; his son Ruston Lewis Simmons; his sister Emma Jean Neil; his son Mike Simmons (Jayne) of Murrells Inlet; his grandchildren, Mike Simmons, II, Columbia and Marc Simmons (Chelsey) of Murrells Inlet; and his great grandchildren, Hogan, Cole, Harper and Hollis.
