He is survived by: his wife Patsy Shumate of Murrells Inlet, SC; his children, Trey Shumate (Sheryl) of Camden, SC, Kevin Shumate (Hilda) of Easley, SC, Woody Holder of Allen Park, MI and Donna Walters of Conway, SC; his brother Wayne Shumate of Lugoff, SC; his grandchildren, Leslie, Amber, Jennifer, Trey, Ben, Mallory, Christopher, Miranda, Taylor, Keven, Nicolas and Owen; his great grandchildren, Shaiann, Layden, Lennox, Myrah, Malachi and Chad; his sister-in-law Rosalind "Roz" Schneider; and his close friends, Patty Clisham, Debbie Galloway (My Debbie) and Lois Boykin.
