He is survived by: his wife Sandra Perry Hartley; his daughter Candice Hairston; his nieces, Mary Ann Eudy and Jeannie Lynn McCowan; his great-niece Meagan Eudy; his granddaughters, Mariah, Gisele and Juelle Hairston; his great grandchild Jasai Dawson; and his adoptive son George Kummo of Gainsville, Florida..

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (711 16th Ave N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Surfside Surfside Beach, SC. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Aimwell Cemetery (673 N Coleman St, Ridgeway, SC 29130).
