It is with great sadness that we announce the death of FCCP Donald Charles Zavala MD of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, born in El Centro, California, who passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Joseph Zavala and Effie Delores McElyea Zavala; his wife Judy Zavala; his daughter Catherine Zavala Norbie; and his former wife Julie Zavala.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Hale (Sam) of Surfside Beach, SC and Donald Zavala, Jr. (Linda) of Prescott, AZ; his sister Gini McDonough of Warner Springs, CA; his grandchildren, Jeff, Steve, Tiffany, Heather, Tim, Christine and Michael; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Oliver, Pearson, Reece and Finnick; his stepchildren, Susan Bentley (Bill) and Mark Andress; and his stepgranddaughter Elizabeth.
