He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Lee Hicks and Aldine Reitzel Linthicum Hicks; his wife Emma Katherine Bell Hicks; and his brother Toby Hicks. He is survived by: his sons, Brian Keith Hicks (Michelle) of Murrells Inlet, Eric Allen Hicks of Greensboro, NC and Kevin Martin Hicks of Asheboro, NC; his sisters, Pam Gilbert (Gary) of High Point, NC and Bonnie Hedgecock (Tommy) of High Point, NC; his grandchildren, Austin, Abigail and Jourdan; and his great grandchildren, Braelyn, Jazemyne Bullins, Zayn, Emma-Jade, Oakley, NovaKay and Sawyer.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, http://www.stjude.org.
