It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Lee Lehr of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, born in Tripp, South Dakota, who passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Walter Lehr and Bertha Freida Jerke Lehr; his siblings, Arlo Lehr, Letha Lieber and Marcy Jones; and his former wife Vicki Brooten Lehr.

He is survived by: his wife Jorene Rushen Lehr of Murrells Inlet, SC; his children, Keith Lehr (Dale) of Charlotte, NC and Kris Zimmer (Walt) of Sugar Grove, IL; his grandchildren, Nick, Haley and Hayden; his stepchildren, Eddie Helms (Sissy) of Monroe, NC and Lynn Runnion (Steven) of Banner Elk, NC; his sister Shirley Dick of Minneapolis, MN; and his pets, Riley, Bart, Sophie, Murphy and ZuZu.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Charles' name to Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church Food Pantry.
