Charlene Leonard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlene Leonard of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, born in Mullins, South Carolina, who passed away on August 2, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rudolph "Grip" Daughtery, Sr. and Mary Helen Hayes Daughtery; her sister Page Daughtery Spann; her brother-in-law Harry G. Bates III; her husband Thomas Vance Leonard of Murrells Inlet; her sons, T. Christopher Leonard (Melanie) of Murrells Inlet and Charles Leonard (Debbie) of Murrells Inlet; her grandchildren, Thomas M. Leonard, Helen M. Leonard, James C. Leonard, Sadie D. Leonard and Vance Leonard; her siblings, Rick Daughtery (Linda) and Pat Bates (Ted Chapman); and her brother-in-law Sammy Spann of Murrells Inlet. She was also cherished by extended family and many supportive friends.
At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to one of Charlene's favorite museums, The Village Museum, a small non-profit museum that offers exhibits featuring the local history of the St. James Santee Parish and the Village of McClellanville.
