She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pitts and Rose Timmons Pitts; her former husband Harry A. Pier, Sr.; and her daughter Maribeth Romaine. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Killion (Keith) of Ridgewood, NJ, Harry A. Pier, Jr. (Loury) of Largo, FL and Steven J. Pier (Beth) of Murrells Inlet, SC; and her spouse Navy Sailor (Harry A. Pier). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Barbara's name to Crescent Hospice, 3959 Hwy 17 Bypass, Suite D, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
