With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Andrea Lee McCarthy of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on July 12, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Xantho and Frances Xantho (Savitskas). She is survived by: her husband James D. McCarthy; her daughters, Catherine Benzi of Westbrook, CT and Elizabeth Holland (Timothy) of Winston, GA; her grandchildren, Emily Benzi of East Lyme, CT, Christopher, Caroline Benzi of Westbrook, CT, Abigail, Victoria, Aaron and Matthew Holland of Winston, GA; her siblings, Linda Sparks (Herman) of Douglasville, GA and Gary Xantho (Linda); her brother-in-law Dennis McCarthy (Kathy) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her nieces, Kristin Sparks and Amanda Sparks; and her nephew Andrew Sparks.
