Gilchrist; his grandchildren, Lyndsay, Kalimah, Nifesha, Daryl, Mercedes, Kamira and Imani; his siblings, Clinton Sanders (Catherine) of Bronx, NY and Wilhelmenia Everett (Thurman) of Leland, NC; his uncle Fred Smalls of Washington, DC.; his children, Yvonne Holcomb (Robert) of Dinwidde County, VA, Gregory "Ken" Sanders and Henry Staley; his close friends, Rev. Jerome Billups, Thomas Hardnett, Ernest "Bo" Samuels, Ida Ruth Pee and Victoria Miller; and also, Arthur Sanders (Barbara) of Mullins, SC, Leroy Sanders (Ella) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Bessie Davis (Donnie) of Mullins, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
