He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Thomas and Rena Bell Burleson Murrie; his wife Anlafah Gasque of Mullins; his sons, Jeffery David Murrie of Florence and John Gasque Murrie (Alissa) of Beaufort; his granddaughters, McKenna Grace and Kelsey Erin Murrie; and his close friend Tessie "Doll" Segars Moore of Ashland.
