He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Hayes, Sr. and Minnie Spartman Hayes. He is survived by: his spouse Madgie Sue Dell Hammond; his children, Sarah Lynn Hayes Boyd (Carroll) of Loris and Stacy Mitchell Hayes of Mullins; his grandson Holden Evander Bullock of Loris; his sister-in-law Geneva H. Fowler (Dean) of Loris; his half-brother Lanneau Hayes of Lake View; and his stepsiblings, George Collins, Jr. of Mullins and Flora Catherine Collins.
