He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Marion Hennecy, Sr. and Josephine Mayers Hennecy; his wife Myrel "Bootsie" Tucker Hennecy; his granddaughter Mary Tucker Hennecy; and his brother Frank M. Hennecy, Jr. of Columbia.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Hennecy (Jennifer) of Spartanburg and Wendi Hennecy Lane (Bryan) of Charleston; his sister Bertha Thomas of Mullins; and his grandchildren, Cole, Caroline, Carter Hennecy of Spartanburg, Rowan, Anne Marie and Charlotte Lane of Charleston.
